Welcome to The Loop Toy Library ("The Loop," "we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to our service or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

  • 1.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age and reside within our designated service areas in San Diego, California and surrounding neighborhoods to subscribe.

1.2 Membership Plans: Membership provides access to a recurring rotation of curated toy sets delivered in our custom. Plans are billed on a recurring basis.

1.3 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. To avoid charges for the following month, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before your next scheduled delivery date. Upon cancellation, all toys must be returned on the final scheduled swap date.

  • 2.1 Ownership: All toys, educational materials, and delivery materials remain the exclusive property of The Loop Toy Library. Your membership constitutes a limited license to use these items. Intentional failure to return items will be treated as theft.

2.2 The Porch Swap: On your scheduled delivery day, you are responsible for placing the Loop Bag or Receptacle containing all rented items on your front porch or designated entry point by 10:00AM. Failure to do so may result in a "Missed Swap" fee of $15 or the extension of your current set for an additional month at your expense.

2.3 Area Restrictions & Access: We currently serve specific San Diego neighborhoods. If you live in a gated community or secured building, you must provide access (gate codes, etc.) for delivery. If we cannot access your porch, the swap will be marked as "Missed" and a $15 fee may apply. If you move outside our service area, your membership will be terminated upon the final return of the items.

  • 3.1 Our Process: We utilize a multi-stage clinical sanitization protocol including high-heat steam (275°F), Medical-Grade UV-C sterilization, and bio-compatible sanitizers (HOCl). While we adhere to high professional standards, we do not guarantee a sterile environment and toys are not "sterile" in a surgical sense.

3.2 Allergy Notice: While we sanitize all items, we cannot guarantee that toys have not been exposed to allergens (such as nuts or pet dander) in previous households.

3.3 Liability Release: The Loop is not liable for any injuries, illness, or damages resulting from the intended use or misuse of rented items. It is the User’s sole responsibility to supervise children during play and ensure toys are appropriate for the child's developmental stage.

3.4 Biohazard Exclusion: To protect our community and staff, toys exposed to significant bodily fluids (vomit, blood, feces) must be reported immediately. Do not return bio-contaminated toys. You may be charged the replacement cost for contaminated items that cannot be safely processed.

  • 4.1 Normal Wear and Tear: We encourage play! Minor scratches, paint scuffs, and normal signs of use are expected and will not result in fees.

4.2 Significant Damage: If a toy is returned broken, cracked, or in a condition that renders it unsafe or unusable, we reserve the right to charge a replacement fee up to—but not to exceed—the current retail value of the item. Chewed toys (by pets) are considered "Major Damage" and may be billed at full replacement value.

4.3 Missing Pieces: Many of our toys have multiple components. If a piece is missing, we may charge a small fee ($0.01 - $5 per piece), not to exceed the replacement cost of the entire set. If the piece is found and returned during your next cycle, this fee will be refunded.

4.4 Product Liability Disclaimer: The Loop does not manufacture the toys. We are not liable for manufacturer defects or recalls. We monitor CPSC recalls and will remove affected items, but the ultimate responsibility for safe play lies with the supervising adult.

4.5 Choking Hazards: Many curated sets contain small parts. We will only provide toys that are appropriate for your child’s age, but you agree to ensure that toys are used only by children of appropriate ages as indicated by the manufacturer and our curation notes.

  • 5.1 Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By providing a payment method, you authorize recurring monthly charges.

5.2 Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to adjust pricing. Any changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Diego County, CA.
